How to play PVE:
Attach your HUD and the dragon you want to battle, you will see there are 3 pages on the HUD use the green or orange diamonds at the bottom of the HUD to navigate to the battling page.
Once you are on the battling page on the HUD you will select Monster Encounters.
Your enemy will now appear with their picture and HP displayed for you to see, for example a HAREDEW appears with a hp of 200, you will now begin turn base battling to defeat the HAREDEW by attacking them and taking all of their HP to zero.
On the HUD you will also see a green HP bar. This is your health if you reach 0 then you have been defeated.
Directly under the HP bar you will see Actions and Surges.
Actions are how many actions you have in a round, each round you will get at least 6 actions.
Surges are gained when you hit your enemy. You build up surges to use magic to help you attack your enemy or regain HP and heal yourself.
Below the Surges bar you will see 5 buttons. These are the attacks that you can use to defeat your enemy, each attack cost you a different amount of actions. To begin your turn select one of the attack buttons, Claw, Tail, Bite, Breath, and Magic.
In the middle of your HUD is your battle log. This will keep a log of what attacks you have used, how much damage you dealt, how much damage you took, and any other things that take place in the battle. You and the CPU will take turns attack one another until one of you is victorious!
If you are the winner you will see in the battle log, your winning streak, any loot gained, and how much XP and AP you were given for winning the battle.
PVE battles are the only way to level up your Dragon to increase its attack, defense, speed, and focus. With victorious battle you will gain XP, when enough XP is gained your dragon will level up!
Begin your round by selecting attacks until you use all your actions, once you have used all of your actions the Enemy will attack you.
Examples from the battle log:
Tawny Cliffrunner takes 56 Damage from your tail attack! (example of you hitting the enemy) Tawny Cliffrunner strikes with Peck for 26 Damage! (example of you being attacked) The battle will continue until either you or the opponent reaches 0 HP.
Ending the battle
If you are victorious, you will see something like this in the battle log:
You are currently on a streak of 2 wins! (lets you know if you are on a win or loss streak) You have gained 394 XP for this fight! (Awarded XP was gained from this battle) You found 15 AP after the battle! (Awarded AP after the battle) You will then have to select End Match to clear the Combat log and get ready to battle another Enemy!
If you lose, you will see the following:
You lost! You are currently on a streak of: 1 Losses! You will then have to select End Match to clear the Combat log and get ready to battle another Enemy! Each PVE battle cost your dragon 5% energy!
